KDAF-TV CH 33/ DR. BASSICHIS INTERVIEW:

KDAF-TV CH 33: Flip through any magazines and you'll find celebrities with certain images. It's driving men and women to plastic surgeons in huge numbers. Is it for you? We have Dr. Benjamin Bassichis here with us. He's very well known in Dallas. Thank you so much for being here. We appreciate it. A lot of people are tempted to have plastic surgery or Botox, how do you know if it's right for you?

DR BASSICHIS: First, what are the goals. Non-surgical services can be very useful, but it's not a facelift. If your problem is something that's surgical, using a non-surgical procedure may not correct your concerns. Using the best treatment to address your concerns will achieve the best results. To do that find someone you trust and come up with a treatment customized for you.

KDAF-TV CH 33: What's popular?

DR BASSICHIS: Anything rejuvenating. Quick non-invasive procedures with minimal or no down time are very popular. Botox. Restylane. And people willing to have the down time want to have facelifts and other procedures, to get even more pronounced results.

KDAF-TV CH 33: What are most women complaining about?

DR BASSICHIS: They look into the mirror and don't look as youthful as they once appeared. The key is to sit down to find out what's bothering them. If it's the crow's feet, Botox is the procedure for that. If it's the neck rolls and jowls, we talk about surgical procedures.

KDAF-TV CH 33: What age are we talking about?

DR BASSICHIS: We have people starting at 20 to 30 who are starting on Botox.

KDAF-TV CH 33: What are the drawbacks of Botox?

DR BASSICHIS: It's addicting. Women who start with Botox injections, if it's done right, it's addictive.
